I’d love to be frank with you… I’ve watch Wolf of the Wall Street for more than 103 times and I remember every fucking dialogue in it. Aah, sorry for the language it flew in the flow. 😀

Many entrepreneurs and aspirants take this movie as an all-time inspiration pot. So do i. Few days back when I was watching this film again something just ticked my mind. When Leonardo, AKA Jordan Belfort says the above dialogue,

“Call them until they Buy or until they Fucking Die”

Apart from the language, which you will eventually ignore, there is an obvious but very important message. And that is “Perseverance”! This is the one of the four pillars on which a business stands and strives.

There always going to be downsides when you run a business or even in your personal life. The key is to stay cool and get away with it.

I remember when I just started freelancing in Digital Marketing, a lot of businesses in Pune rejected my proposals. For a row of 10 Business meetings, only two to three where actually be interested in my service, among which only one or two would actually pay me.

A year passed, I managed to save money from freelancing and bootstrapped around half a million bucks to form corporate digital agency. I’ve seen a lot of ups and downs during that period. And now, I kid you not, for every single business meeting I do, everyone pays me. J

But, still my team has the same funda while generating leads. Call them unless they buy. Pitch your products so well that won’t try to look for another option.

Now that’s my example. I’m not a multi-millionaire nor is my agency a big brand.

What comes to your mind when you crave for Fried Chicken?

I bet the answer is KFC. Everyone loves KFC for their splendid taste for crispy Fried Chicken.

Colonel Sanders, The founder of KFC was around 65 years old when he started selling fried chicken. At the age of 5 he lost his parents. At the age of 16 he got married and at the age of 19 his wife left him.

Well that’s personal. Sanders worked at various places and failed. At the age of 66 he thought of committing suicide. Under a tree writing his will, he thought that’s not enough what he has done in his life. He took the money that he received in his retirement borrowed few more from his friend and started to cook fried chicken. He was taught cooking at the age of 7 by his mom.

Sanders used to walk door to door and would try to sell fried chicken. Initially he was rejected but slowly through perseverance he built KFC i.e. Kentucky Fried Chicken. Rest is history. At the age of 88 Sanders was a millionaire.

What would have happened if he had stopped going door to door for selling his chicken dishes?

The moral of the story is, if you fear to lose, you will never win. To all aspirants out there, never take no for an answer, work hard until you get what you wanted.

Just never fuckin stop. Get your ass work hard. Use your brains to grow smartly. “Call them until they buy or they fucking die!”
